As of 27 January 2020, BaFin issued a cease and desist order to Betamarket UG (haftungsbeschränkt) to stop and wind up the unauthorized money remittance business immediately.

Betamarket UG (haftungsbeschränkt) accepts funds on its own account mainly from private persons from Germany and other European countries for the sole purpose of transferring the funds to third parties, in particular to operators of non-licensed online trading platforms based abroad.

The administrative order is final.
