Erscheinung:29.11.2016 BaFin warns of false e-mails

BaFin would like to stress that it does not send out any “Security requests” in which it requests recipients to use a supposedly new “SecureTanV3” procedure. All recipients are kindly asked not to follow the link provided and to delete these e-mails.

The e-mails, which are fraudulently sent in BaFin’s name, refer to a BaFin circular („Mindestanforderungen an die Sicherheit von Internetzahlungen” – minimum requirements for the security of Internet payments). No relationship exists between this circular and the e-mails in question. Furthermore, no coordination with the European Banking Authority (EBA) has taken place as purported in the e-mails.
