Erscheinung:10.04.2014 BaFin authorises Eurex Clearing AG as a clearing house under EMIR

The Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht – BaFin) has approved the application of Eurex Clearing AG as a clearing house in accordance with the European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR). BaFin issued the relevant licence to Eurex Clearing AG on 10 April 2014.

BaFin’s decision was taken following deliberations within the college of supervisors which was to decide on the application. The college consisted of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), the Eurosystem as well as the central banks and supervisory authorities from eight EU Member States.
