On 8 May 2020, BaFin imposed administrative fines amounting to 190,000 euros on a natural person due to breaches of section 21 (1) sentence 1 of the German Securities Trading Act (Wertpapierhandelsgesetz – WpHG) (old version).
An appeal may be lodged against the administrative fine order.

Update (17.05.2022):
The outcome of the oral hearing was a judgment imposing fines totalling 38,000 euros on the natural person. The judgment was issued by the Frankfurt am Main Local Court (Amtsgericht Frankfurt am Main) on 6 April 2022 following a discussion of the facts of the case and the legal situation.
The judgment is final and binding.
