The English version of the Expert Groups recommendations on operational risk and the contained rules of the Solvency Ordinance and other regulations are translated from German for your convenience. The English versions are not legally binding. The Expert Group recommendations are recommendations of the banking industry and supervisors which shall help to clarify open questions and issues. BaFin and Bundesbank have also agreed on the published recommendations and will recognise them applying or interpreting the regulation. To reflect changes in the regulation or its interpretation the content of the recommendations might be changed over time or new interpretations might replace the aforementioned recommendations.
