BaFin Workshop on „application process for hedge exemption“
On 8 and 9 September 2020, BaFin will hold an online workshop on "application process for hedge exemption“ between 10.00 and 12.00 a.m. each day.
The workshop will be held on September 8 in German language and on September 9 in English language. An additional registration is not required.
During the workshops, BaFin experts will discuss how to submit an application and which requirements need to be met.
BaFin is according to section 56 (3) Securities Trading Act (WpHG) and Art. 8 Delegated Regulation (EU) 2017/591 the competent authority for processing hedge applications regarding commodity derivative contracts for which BaFin has set position limits.
Domestic and non-domestic counterparties are required to follow the respective procedure for the approval of their hedge application.
